What is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that focuses on strengthening muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. At Figue Madera Pilates, we use reformers
and other equipment to guide you through movements that help build core strength and overall body balance.

Booking a class is simple! You can book a class in two easy ways: either directly on our website or by downloading the Figue Madera app. Both options are super convenient, so just pick whichever works best for you!

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before your class starts, especially if it's your first time. This gives you a chance to get settled, meet your instructor, and ensure you're ready to begin on time.

Aim for comfy and flexible attire like a sports bra and either biker shorts or leggings—anything that lets you move easily. And remember, grip
socks are a must for your safety. If you don’t have them on hand, we offer them for purchase at the studio so you’ll be all set!

Absolutely! We offer beginner classes a few times a week, and we recommend starting with two to three of those to get comfortable if you & ;re new to Pilates. Once you’re ready, you can absolutely join our intermediate to advanced classes. And if you’re feeling a bit nervous about group sessions, you can always start with a private class first. You
can book both private and group classes on our website, and don’t worry—our instructors always offer modifications to meet you at your level.

You can join the waitlist for any class that’s fully booked. Just keep in mind that by adding yourself, you’re committing to attend if a spot opens up. If you’re added to the
class—even at the last minute—late cancellation and no-show fees will apply. So if you can no longer make it, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid any fees.

If a spot does become available, you’ll be automatically added and notified by both email and text before the class begins. After the waitlist closes, any leftover spots are first-come, first- served through our website, app, or even in-person drop-ins.

Our cancellation policy asks that you cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class to avoid any fees. If you cancel within that 12-hour
window, it’s considered a late cancel and there’s a $30 fee. This policy helps us prevent unfilled spots in sessions that could have been taken
by other participants. Thanks for helping us keep things fair for everyone!

Pilates can be beneficial during pregnancy by helping improve posture, relieve back pain, and potentially assisting with labor and delivery. However, you should always consult your doctor before starting or continuing Pilates to ensure it & 39;s safe for you and your baby.

Just let your instructor know about any injuries and get your doctor’s okay to join in. We’re here to help you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Please email your inquiry to info@figuemadera.com. We host a variety of events, whether it’s a birthday celebration, a photoshoot, a product launch, or any other special occasion. Just let us know the details in your email so we can find the perfect time and arrangement for you. Please note that while we love to celebrate, no food or drinks are allowed on the reformers or in the main studio area. However, you’re welcome to have birthday cake and champagne in our lobby space. We look forward to making your event memorable!

Yes, we partner with ClassPass! You can use your ClassPass credits to book classes at Figue Madera Pilates through the ClassPass app. Just make sure to select the correct
studio location. Please note that ClassPass is not a subsidiary of Figue Madera Pilates, and our acceptance of ClassPass is subject to change. We reserve the right to continue or discontinue ClassPass services at any time.

Our memberships include guest passes, and you can find the exact number you’re allowed each month under your membership details. You can easily book a guest through our app by entering a bit of their information. Just keep in mind that guest passes don’t roll over, so you’ll need to use them within the month before they expire. We hope you and
your guests enjoy the class!

For our Northridge location, you'll find plenty of parking right in the plaza where the studio is located, and it's free of charge. At our Topanga Village location, you have two options: there & 39;s a large parking structure next to Costco with 90 minutes of free parking, or you can park along Topanga Canyon Boulevard, which is paid parking with 90 minutes if you scan the QR code to pay. That way, you've got flexibility in where to park.
